What good is freedom if you can’t afford it? As the Berlin Wall tumbled across the Eastern Bloc in the 1990s, it drew aside the Iron Curtain’s repression and physical containment of Hungarian citizens. The borders to the rest of Europe, and indeed the world, were now open—but only for those who could afford the extraordinary cost of travel. With nothing to lose, three young tricksters happen upon the fact that the distinctive blue ink used on international train tickets allows for easy forgery. Soon, these accidental kingpins of a capitalist syndicate find themselves caught in the wheels of an old-school communist police investigation. Droll animation tells the little-known story of an unlikely gang that valiantly tripped open the West for a new generation. Watch incredulously as the cops crack the scheme but not the youthful spirit of self-determination in this comical tale.

In an old camera left to him by his biological father, he feels a complex mix of loss and connection. Billy’s mother has remarried three times and moved to the United States with her current husband. Later, after his younger sister tragically drowned, the family was abandoned by her stepfather and had to return to Taiwan. 　　One day, after taking a bath, Billy whispers to himself, “I need to be strong,” surrounded by several medicine jars. He sits on the toilet, struggling with feelings of loneliness and confusion, trying to escape his painful reality.

“Our only hope is the EU,” says Tímea Szabó, who has been fighting against the Orbán system for years. Though it is also the EU that has sent money to Hungary, knowing full well how blatantly the democratic structures are being eroded there. The film portrays three women fighting against the autocrat – in their country and, with it, the whole of Europe because Orbán serves as a prime example for others.
